Analysis of the High Chromium Cast Iron Microstructure after

The article presents results of heat treatment on the high chromium cast iron. The study was carrying out on samples cut from the casting.

The Improvement of Wear and Impact Resistance of High

The microstructure of high chromium white cast iron after quenching is dominated by carbide and residual austenite. The types of carbides formed are M7C3 (Cr7C3

Microstructure of high chromium cast iron – ZHY Casting

As shown in Figure 2, the SEM of 900 ℃ and 950 ℃ high chromium cast iron is shown. The content of eutectic carbide M7C3 in high chromium cast iron was calculated by ippimageproplus software, and the result was 15 vol.%. It can be seen from Figure 2 that after quenching, eutectic carbides are distributed in rod and block shape, and some eutectic carbides M7C3 have holes.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of a Mo

2018. 10. 1. · In the present study, 6 wt% Mo was added into high chromium cast iron (HCCI, 16 wt% Cr), and the effects of heat treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of the

Effects of niobium macro-additions to high chromium white cast iron on

The microstructures consisted of M 7 C 3 and M 23 C 6 primary carbides as well as eutectic and secondary carbides. The M 23 C 6 was stated to have transformed from primary M 7 C 3 during the destabilisation treatment. Their BSE images showed that NbC to be located inside and on the edge of primary Cr-carbides.

Effect of niobium addition on the properties and microstructure

High chromium cast iron (HCCI) has many applications, especially in mining industry, for manufacturing components that require high resistance to abrasive wear.

Wear resistance of high chromium white cast iron for coal

The microstructure of high chromium white cast iron is comprised of eutectic carbides. Additionally, there is a metallic matrix comprised of secondary

Microstructure of high chromium cast iron - ZHY Casting

Figure 1 shows the optical structure of high chromium cast iron obtained after corrosion with 4 vol.% nitric acid alcohol. Figure 1 (a) shows the as cast structure of high chromium cast iron. It can be seen from Figure 1 (a) that the white bulk eutectic carbide M7C3 is distributed on the austenitic matrix in a broken network.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of a Mo alloyed high chromium

Microstructure and mechanical properties of a Mo alloyed high chromium cast iron after different heat treatments 1. Introduction. High chromium cast irons (HCCIs) (with 12-30 wt% Cr and 1.8-3.6 wt% C) have been widely used in the 2. Materials and methods. The materials used in this study were
