The addition of an under-voltage trip enables the motor circuit-breaker to be tripped if voltage is lost. The addition of a shunt trip enables remote control of tripping.

The GV2ME08 manual starter and protector provides manual isolation, manual motor control, and overcurrent protection in one compact unit. The GV2 series has a standard set of accessories, including front mounted GVAE11 auxiliary contacts, side mounted GVAN11 auxiliary contacts as well as undervoltage trips to complete the unit.
