The torque spec etched onto the rotor was 12 Nm, so I dutifully set the torque wrench accordingly. One stripped hub thread and a bit of research later and I find that 4-5 Nm is a much more sensible range.

Shimano states 2-4Nm for a 6 bolt rotor HERE, but you don't state what make yours are, the manufacturer will have the info if it's not Shimano.
